There a large number of NBFCs trying to create a lending niche but bulk of them are without any differentiation. On the listed front there is a long list too wherein new promoters have stepped in and tried to create a wave , e.g. Poonawalla acquiring Magma and more recently Apollo Pipes group acquiring Moongipa.
Promoter pedigree and ability to raise capital is key to Acquisitions in the Nbfc space. Ikab has been acquired by none other than Madhusudan Kela whose capital market prowess is well known and although most promoters are quite silent post acquisition, he has acquired 83% of this company and at the AGM announced his ambition and also confirmed on change in company name to MK Ventures Capital Ltd.
The stock has moved a lot, so it's important to track the developments here but Mr.Kela being at the helm we could expect some positive surprises
